Wilson Statement on Bombings in India

WASHINGTON – May 13, 2008 – Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, issued the following statement today after terrorists set off several bomb attacks in Jaipur, the capital of the northern Indian state of Rajasthan.

“These senseless attacks on innocent civilians are emblematic of the ruthless nature of terrorist enemies which threaten all peaceful nations. As co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, I want to express my deepest sympathies for the people of Jaipur and the families of those killed. India is a strong and valued ally of the United States, and we must stand with the people of India in opposition to those who would perpetrate such violence.”
